Why I did this.....
Things happen in life far beyond our control. It was the shock of watching a family grow over the years, and enjoy life, to the youngest member of the family being struck with a rare disease and miraculously surviving the odds. It was heart wrenching to see after months of hospitalization in a city a long way from their home. His quality of life/survival depends on ongoing treatment and management, therefore regular trips to Brisbane and of course they stay at Ronald McDonald House, Herston,Brisbane, Australia. It is a home away from home for many rural living families with members receiving treatment that is only available in a large hospital.
